That’s factory tape. Don’t want to ruin the perfection that is a factory Alfa.

zip ties and coat hangers to the rescue........
yeah, thats no fun at all, my truck has a nasty habit of cracking its headers, and the exhaust pipes..........
for a in the meantime fix, you might try getting a couple of sets of hose clamps, and some sheet metal. wrap the sheet metal around the pipe, and clamp it tight at the tops and bottoms. it usually holds for a few months if you get it right.......
you might try welding it back, and sleeving the spot that gave it up...... i have found, that the tubing that has cracked is usually fatigued. it just cracks a few inches ahead or behind what got fixed........

How does a car crack it’s headers?

thermal cycling(heating cooling(expansion)) along with vibration from the engine.........
they usually crack at the welds,(that is where the molecules move when things get welded), but also the primary(small tubes) before they meet the collectors. (i run BIG cams) i had about 3 or 4 that had broken a while back, but i mend them while i have down time. i might have one side thats laying around that i can get a picture of tomorrow when i have light.........
